Holly Smith is the founder of Hidden Voices Ministries, a speaking group in her church. Many of the dreams she has had about Hidden Voices mirror her personal story of deliverance. Hidden Voices speaking group came into being as she felt nudged by God to practice speaking her own testimony publicly. Over time, God equipped her for this role. She sees great potential in others and is passionate about activating the gift of speaking in women. When Holly prayed for the gift of understanding at age eight, she had no idea how God would answer in the coming years or the pain it might cost. (Prov. 4:7b) Through a radical transformation of thinking from hardship, loss, and an extended period of caring for the sick, Holly emerged with an overcoming outlook. Her joy is teaching about the unsearchable riches of Christ, healing, and God's kingdom perspective. During this process of change, God formed a voice of communication in a shy, insecure girl. He taught her to hear His voice and appropriate His truth through the tough years (I. Jn. 2:27). She now believes the Bible is alive and that God wants to express Himself through each of us. In seeking to know and understand God, Holly came to discover her true identity. Love motivates her and a childlike excitement leads her to clues for releasing God's kingdom on earth, leaving old patterns and worldly values behind. Holly has been married for twenty nine years with two grown sons. Personal interests include jogging, fishing with her husband, driving in the mountains, and eating thin-crust pizza with friends. She also enjoys listening to 70's pop music, which she sometimes incorporates in her teaching. |
